About Bob
Bob has worked in the field of Quality Control and Quality Management since 1958. He worked in various companies in the Automobile Industry as Quality Manager and as Factory Manager until 1977, when he was appointed as Quality Training and Consulting Manager in a large Armament organisation. In 1980, he opened his sole-owner business by the name of Quality Training and Consulting (QTC), now renamed Enteq Systems International (ESI).
With a background of Mathematics, Applied Statistics and Chemistry, after attending a course on Quality Management presented by Dr Joseph Juran, Bob decided to improve his qualifications in Quality and Reliability Management and was certified by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as Quality Engineer in 1978 and Reliability Engineer 1983
He has trained more than 2000 students at all levels of Management and Operation in a wide range of topics, such as the application of statistical techniques for process control, problem solving and other forms of data analysis. This includes a series of lectures to Masters Degree students in Design of Experiments at the Stellenbosch University.
In 1990, Bob founded the Institute for Black Quality Managers, assuming the role of Training Officer. Some 150 students were trained but the Institute was made obsolete in 1993, after the abolition of Apartheid. Bob remains fully committed to the principles of Equal Opportunity in the field of Management, to which he relates.
As an accredited Lead Auditor for ISO 9001, in association with Accredited Certification Service Providers: Dekra Certification, SAI Global and, currently, ISOQAR, he has audited more than 200 organisations and performed approximately 600 audits.
